FAQs

Many of you have so many questions for us, especially as a new club. So we will answer as many as possible on this page.
All classes at Future Gymnastics are paid for via monthly Direct Debit the month in advanced using our merchant London & Zurich.
Upon joining our club you will pay an annual membership to British Gymnastics. This ensures the children are insured in any British Gymnastics affiliated club and memberships are transferrable through clubs. This must be completed by yourself directly on the British Gymnastics website. We also have block insurance to cover things such as fun days and camps, and the first few lessons your children try out.
Yes, all of our leading coaches are fully qualified and we have a number of assistant coaches who are learning how to become a leading coach, as well as assistants who are our younger volunteers in a different coloured t-shirt.
Yes. There is a designated viewing area for parents and family to watch during the sessions.
Every childs first class will be a trial / assessment to ensure they are in the correct class. If they wish to continue with Future Gymnastics this will count as their first class of the term and be included in the fees. If your child decides not to continue with Future Gymnastics there will be no charges ori

Should you wish to leave Future Gymnastics we ask that you give us a minimum of 5 working days to cancel your direct debit. If your notice is in time to cancel your DD before the 15th of the month you’ll have the remaining 2 – 4 weeks of classes for that month remaining on your account. If your payment date is on the 1st but you hand in your notice between the 1st & 15th of the month we will refund your payment which was made on the 1st and you will have 2 weeks left on your account. We do not offer any refunds for leaving unless payment was made on the 1st of the month and notice is given before the 15th. If you give notice after the 15th of the month you’ll have between 4 – 6 weeks remaining on your account as payment is for the following month. Please send us an email to info@futuregymnastics.co.uk with a reason for leaving and we will action your request immediately. Cancellations must be in writing via email.

Cancellations between 1st – 15th month = gymnast has the current month left of lessons Cancellation between 15 – 31st month = gymnast has the following month left of lessons.

For the first 3 sessions a leotard is not essential as your child decides if they want to continue with gymnastics. After this period a leotard for the girls is a must- have as t-shirts and baggy clothing can restrict movement. T-shirts are not acceptable as they will rise above their heads. Leggings or shorts are fine. For boys, a tighter top that will not rise above their head and shorts. Leotards are not essential for boys.
We are open from September through to August. 48 weeks of the year. Upon signing up you will receive a copy of our annual term dates.
Yes, as long as there is space in our classes you can join in as soon as you register your interest. If you are on the waiting list you will join in as soon as a space becomes available.
We can guarantee that we will be sticking to the British Gymnastics guidelines of 1:8 although on most occasions there will be more coaches available bringing the ratio right down.

Gymnastics is a very safe sport when taught correctly. Our coaches will ensure your child’s welfare is paramount and will not push any skills above what they are capable of doing.

You would be surprised to know that most of our accidents happen from children walking around the gym and tripping over mats!

We can not cater for odd sessions missed due to other commitments. You pay monthly for your space in the class and that will remain your space that no one else will take. It is of course hoped that you can make all of your sessions however should you miss one we are unable to offer make up sessions. Missed classes will not be refunded, other than for injury, serious illness, family bereavement etc.
We take welfare issues very seriously. Our welfare officer details can be found on the notice board at any of our gyms, along with contact information.
